Interpreting results

To see what your results mean, do two things. First, look at responses in each section, and identify those areas where either students or teachers see problems. Use those as your cues for the trouble spots in your school. Are students or teaches seeing a lot of weapons? Drugs? Discrimination? This can guide you in intervening effectively.

Second, look for areas where student and teacher perceptions differ. The wider the gap between teacher and student perceptions, the greater the chance that there's something amiss. Look more closely at those areas where the gap in perception is widest.

Third, once you have identified areas that need more attention, choose a targeted intervention matched to it. Ripple Effects software products can be part of an effective solution.
