What it measures

The School Safety Profiler is a set of surveys that cover six areas:

  1. Discipline/School Climate
  2. Respect for Persons
  3. Presence of, or Access to, Weapons
  4. Presence of Drugs or Alcohol
  5. Students' ability to use social skills to handle challenging situations
  6. Student access to and confidence in community resources for problem solving.

These areas have been identified by the Departments of Education and Justice and independent researchers as early warning signs of potential violence in schools.

When all your surveys are complete, you can view graphs of your results online.

By getting teacher and student perspectives on these areas, with the help of the Profiler you can identify potential problem areas before they erupt into violence.
