Once you know you're getting angry, don't let your "internal trigger" make it worse. That's the voice inside you that keeps talking about what makes you mad. If you hear yourself saying, "I am SO MAD I'm just going to explode," stop that message and instead say, "OK, I'm upset, but I can stay calm and figure out what's the best thing to do."
