Surveys are only useful if people tell the truth. People only tell the truth, if they feel safe and confident it won't be used against them. To ensure absolute privacy and the confidentiality of your answers, your answers get bundled up with others in a group, like your school. They are only seen as an (anonymous) part of the whole.

Except for the school administrator who is our contact person, we have made it impossible to put your name anywhere in the survey. The only exception is if you are the only one in your group completing the survey, and your personal name is the group name. If you or your school counselor want to measure change in your attitudes over time, this is an option. You will know because the school name you are asked to use will be your name.

This survey does not include questions about personal or social behavior outside of a school context, so in most school districts parental permission isn't needed for students to complete the survey or view the results.

From time to time Ripple Effects analysts review school results and analyze them, but in reporting of results the identity of individual schools or persons is always shielded. Neither individual nor school names will ever be disclosed to third parties. No exceptions.
