Ripple Effects for Teens, from Ripple Effects, has been in development for 10 years and uses a multimedia to teach what it calls the "seven key abilities," including empathy, impulse control, decision making, and managing feeling. The program uses engaging activities, peer mentors, and hip art to hook kids and help them build these essential; skills. Ripple Effects for Teens covers more than 500 topics, including AIDS, bullying, alcoholism, and racial conflict. Schools can customize the software so the program covers only topics they feel are appropriate.
