Stopping the Violence

This violence prevention program is a module taken from the Ripple Effects for Teens series and addresses 100 violence-related topics, from aggression and bullying to racial conflict and hate crimes. Also covered are skill training topics like managing feelings, controlling impulses, and resolving conflict. Each topic area is compellingly explained and illustrated through animated lessons and video of real kids telling true stories. These segments are followed by activities and games designed to reinforce concepts and skills. The software's presentation is frank and hip, and will appeal to teens. (Note: Other modules from the Ripple Effects for Teens series are available and include The Low Down (depression & suicide); Birds, Bees, Disease...?! (sexual issues); Oh Behave!
